Helen E. McWilliams, 85, of Peoria, passed away at 8:21 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2009, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Helen was born in LeRoy on June 29, 1924, a daughter of Floyd and Grace (Towns) Marcum. She married Earl McWilliams on March 27, 1943 in St. Louis. He preceded her in death in 1984. Her parents, four brothers, two sisters and one grandson, Michael Arrowood, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Earl (Susan) McWilliams of Edelstein, Phillip McWilliams of Metamora and Terry McWilliams of Peoria; ten grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
Helen retired as a supervisor for Fleming & Potter on March 1, 1990, after over forty-four years of service.
Interment will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2009, at LaSalle Cemetery in rural Chillicothe.
Memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s memory to the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home in Peoria.
